My name is Shamira.

I pray and hope you are all well. To everyone that knows me, know how I really enjoy a run, but due to my injury I have not been able to run since then …. However, after much thought I have decided to challenge myself to run 5k every day in Ramadan (the fasting month) for charity. I have not ran since a year due to being injured, so this is going to be a real challenge for me, but all for an amazing cause.

I am challenging myself to do this run to Help Provide Food, Shelter, and Education for Orphans.

Right now, countless children in war-torn countries have lost everything, their homes, their families, and their sense of security. These orphans are left to face unimaginable hardships, struggling to find food, a safe place to sleep, and the opportunity to build a better future. But together, we can change that.

Through Challenges 4 Humanity, who are partnered with One Nation, a registered UK Charity, who work in over 40 countries, I am raising funds to support these vulnerable children by providing them with daily essentials such as food, shelter, and education. Every penny and pound raised will go directly toward improving their lives, ensuring they have a safe place to call home, nutritious meals to eat, and the education they need to build a brighter future. The more we raise, the more children we can help.

No child should have to suffer alone. Your kindness and generosity can make a real difference. You can help towards sponsoring an orphan for a whole year for just £480, that’s less than £1.32 a day, less than a cup of coffee.

You can also help provide Emergency Support to an Orphan in Gaza, for just £50, which will provide cash, clothing, food or whatever the immediate need is for an orphan.
