My name is Sheraz, and I am from Zimbabwe, having relocated to the UK 22 years ago.
Cycling has been a passion of mine since childhood, and I have fond memories of teaching myself to ride an adult bike that was far too large for me when I was just seven years old. My determination paid off, and after numerous tumbles, I finally learned to ride! In recent years, cycling with friends on the weekends has become a regular joy in my life. The sense of freedom that comes from pedalling through beautiful landscapes and breathing in fresh air brings me tranquillity and happiness.
Giving back to those in need is very important to me. That’s why I’ve joined Challenges 4 Humanity (C4H) this year to support my favourite charity, One Nation. C4H organises adventurous challenges aimed at raising essential funds for charitable initiatives worldwide.
I plan to embark on a 140-mile bike ride over two days, from Leicester to The hills of The Peak District and then from The Peak District back to Leicester. This challenge will be in August 2025, to raise money for One Nation’s Emergency Gaza Appeal. With your support, we can truly make a difference in the lives of the people of Gaza.
